Margaret River Region Open Studios Workshops

Join our master potter Myles for a creative adventure in pottery with two exciting workshops. In “Adventures in Throwing a Bigger Bowl,” you’ll learn to craft larger bowls than ever before, guided through the process from start to finish. Alternatively, explore “Adventures in Hand Building,” where you’ll use a variety of tools to create unique pieces like plates, platters, and mugs.

Both workshops include all materials, generous clay supply, and a grazing platter with wine. Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience, bring your sense of humor and a friend for an enjoyable and artistic experience.

Adventures in Throwing a Bigger Bowl

Dates & Time:

  • Saturday, 14 September: 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM
  • Saturday, 21 September: 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM

 

 Join master potter Myles in this unique class where you’ll learn to throw larger bowls than you’ve ever made before. Myles will demonstrate the techniques and assist you in crafting your own pieces. You’ll get to finish and fire your most successful bowl, or if you choose, two smaller ones. Additional pieces can be fired for an extra cost.

Enjoy a generous supply of clay, along with a grazing platter and wine.

Experience Level: Suitable for more experienced throwers, but beginners are welcome to try!

Explore the world of hand building with Myles and Jacquie. This workshop offers a range of tools and techniques to create your own unique pieces, such as square dinner plates, small oval platters, and mugs. You can finish and fire up to four of your creations, with the option to add more for an extra cost.

Enjoy generous amounts of clay, along with a grazing platter and wine.

Experience Level: Suitable for all levels, from beginners to more experienced potters.
